Many areas of Patna city are still stagnant due to water logging due to heavy rains. Rajendranagar, Bazaar Samiti and many areas of Saidpur have water up to five feet on the fifth day. Pataliputra Colony and Rajiv Nagar also have three to four feet of water.

Meanwhile, the water level of Punpun river has reached near the safety dam. It is clear that the flood of Punpun is also threatening Patna, which is troubled by water logging. The ring dam of the river broke on Wednesday, causing water to enter the main market. However, the administration team was involved in the repair work.

On Wednesday, news of the death of a young man drowned in Bahadurpur came to light, while in Rajendranagar, the rescue team took out the body of an old woman from the house. Meanwhile, in view of water logging in the city, the district administration has instructed government and private schools and coaching institutes to be closed for Durga Puja.
