Siddhartha, the founder of the country's largest coffee chain, went missing on Monday in Mangaluru during the suspicious circumstances. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Coast Guard, Home Guards, Fire Department and coastal police teams had explored the water of the river Nethawati under the bridge, where Siddhartha, 60, was last seen for discovering Siddhartha.


According to the police, former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP leader S. M. Krishna's son-in-law Siddharth was seen on Monday night near the bridge of Netravati in Kottapura area of   south Kannada district. Siddhartha went out of Bengaluru on Monday afternoon to Sakleshpur in Hassan district but suddenly he asked his driver to walk to Mangalore. Police told that he landed down the car near the bridge on river Nethawati and told the driver that he was going for a walk.

Siddhartha wrote in the letter that he was unable to form a profitable business model for the company. They also apologized for the damage done to the company. In this letter circulating on social media, he said that I want to say that I gave it everything. I want to apologize for not fulfilling the expectations of all those who trust me. So far, there was no immediate confirmation that Siddharth had written the letter or not.

Siddharth said that he fought for a long time but that today I am losing courage because I can not afford to buy back shares from one of the private equity partners. One transaction which I partially completed by borrowing a large amount of money from a friend six months ago. He said that excessive pressure from other lenders has forced me to bow down before the situation.


The company said that VG, Chairman and Managing Director of Coffee Day Enterprises Siddhartha can not be contacted Monday evening. Siddharth is the son-in-law of former Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna. According to the police, Siddharth was going to Saklashpur, but suddenly he asked his driver to walk to Mangaluru. He descended from the car near the bridge on the Netravati river in Kottapura area of ​​south Kannada district and he told the driver that he was going for a walk. During this, Siddharth asked the driver to wait till his arrival. When he did not return for two hours, the driver contacted the police and lodged a complaint about his disappearance.
